Take a Test Drive

You have done it all, you have gathered all the information about the cars that you would like to take for a test drive. You have studied the colors of the cars. You have studied the specifications of the cars. You have noted the prices of the cars and now there is only one more stage of the car buying process that remains left and that is the taking a test drive of the car. So here are a few things that you will want to do or pay attention to while test-driving those cars today.

Open the Trunk

Take the key and open the trunk, then take the remote and open the trunk.You are checking to see how far the trunk door will open. Does it spring all the way up or do you have to do all the physical lifting?

Adjustments

Before pulling out unto the road, make sure that you have adjusted all of the mirrors. Adjust the rear view mirrors and both of the side mirrors. Also, do not forget to adjust the seat belt and your driving seat. Do not move until you are comfortable.

Checking Sounds

When you are on the road, listen out for the sounds around you. The car should be properly insulated. When all of the windows are closed, you should not be hearing a workman using a drill at the same noise level as if the windows were opened. In addition to that, listen for all of the sounds that are coming from the car. Make sure that there is no sound coming from the car that you are not willing to live with.

Acceleration, Breaks

Turn off the sound system and your cellular phone so that you can concentrate on the ``fee`` of the car. How is the acceleration? Is it too sudden or is it just right? How is the engine? Is it too loud or is it just ``perrfect`` How are the brakes? Does the car take too long to come to a complete stop or are you thrown forward due to the sudden stop?

All Roads

Do not just test drive the car on the well-paved roads. Drive them on the not so well paved roads as well. Drive over humps and drive over bumps. You are doing this in order to check the suspension of the car.

Mistakes

One day you might forget the keys in the ignition or you may not lock the doors completely. What will happen in cases like those? Check these things out while test driving those cars in order to see what the car will do. Will it make a loud noise to alert you that something is not right or will it just keep silent?

Another Drive

Before making your final decision, take the car out for another spin the following day. Do this justto make sure that the car you will finally buy will be a consistent joy in your life and not a thorn in your side.
